The Musée de la Mer presents a program of temporary exhibitions and activities all year round, especially during summer time.
2018 summer activities (only in french)
- WEDNESDAY (all day): The quiz of "Faraud": It seems that at the Museum of the Sea, one of the leaders is pal badly bad! He is convinced that no one knows the Islands better than him ... This summer, the occasion will be beautiful for him "to nail the beak"!
- THURSDAY MORNING (11 am): Talk "Because the whales ..." by Claude Bourque, sculptor: An invitation to delve into the story of Claude Bourque's artistic and scientific experiences, fascinated and inspired by marine mammals and their environment.
-JEUDI NIGHT (8 pm): Storytelling show "Le Trawl de Fer": Let Michel Boudreau tell you the story. Sold out in the summer of 2017, this evening where the tale meets History and the dream returns to the Museum for a second summer in a row! This time, book early!
- FRIDAY (all day): "The Fridays of Archeology": the Museum of the Sea invites you to discover and understand what an archaeologist is studying by taking part in our new animation on terrestrial and maritime archeology. In addition to participating in a simulation of excavation, you can learn more about the archaeological field of the Magdalen Islands!
-BONUS OF THE SUMMER: THE CONFERENCES "THE EYES OF THE SEA" with Mario Cyr: Sunday, August 5th and September 2th, ON RESERVATION. Born in the Iles-de-la-Madeleine, Mario Cyr, a big fan of the marine world who is not cold-eyed, is a photo director, explorer of the seabed all over the world, especially where there is ice!
